Blouse from the pavlovskiy headkerchief, 1988

I have a russian magazine (album of models) "The knitting", which was published in 1988 by G. Ilina. In this magazine I have found this original blouse. It is made from the fabric of the pavlovskiy headkerchief and decorated by knitting strip (lace).

Russian women don't really wear such blouses.

The pavlovskiy headkerchief is also known as pavloposadskiy headkerchief. It is a name for a headkerchief made in the town Pavlovskiy Posad in the Moscow area. The handkerchiefs with the tradition colourful printed ornament are made there from 1860-1880.

You can see some of the pavlovskiy handkerchiefs here http://pavlovoposadskie-platki.ru/.

P.S. Today, June 29, I have seen on the street of Voronezh this advertising of  pavlovskiy handkerchiefs on the side of a fixed-run taxi.
